Alinea-Group Spotlight Interview: Magdalena Ordon

May 3, 2022

Russ Baron Spotlight

Meet Magdalena! She is a 340B subject matter expert with extensive operational experience in complex 340B settings. Magdalena specializes in project management, split billing and contract pharmacy implementations, data analysis and seeking synergistic solutions.

How long have you been a part of the Alinea-Group?

I joined the Alinea Group right before the COVID shutdown at the beginning of 2020.

What brought you to the company?

I had been familiar with Alinea for a couple of years before joining the team and was very impressed with the level of support they provided to clients. After managing a 340B program at a covered entity and subsequently being a part of a TPA, becoming a consultant seemed like a natural progression. When one of my colleagues at Alinea mentioned they were looking to expand the team, I gladly jumped at the opportunity.

How do you best describe your role?

As a 340B Subject Matter Expert, I deal with all aspects of 340B, from implementations to audits to ongoing operational advisory. I oversee clients’ projects with a focus on ongoing 340B program management, 340B optimization, and independent audits in addition to guiding clients through the HRSA audit process.

What do you enjoy about your work with Alinea?

There are many things that make being part of the Alinea Group very rewarding, but there are two aspects that stand out from my perspective. I enjoy interacting with our clients and providing support for the challenges they face related to maintaining and operationalizing 340B. When I see progress in 340B compliance year over year with our long-term clients, it gives me a greater sense of purpose and satisfaction. I also enjoy the company culture at The Alinea Group. I feel very fortunate to work with so many talented, knowledgeable, and dedicated individuals who are on top of their game professionally. It is a fun-loving, supportive group composed of wonderful human beings.

Where did you grow up? As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I grew up in Poland! After getting my Master’s Degree, I moved to London to study business for a couple of years prior to making my journey to the United States. According to my mom, I had many different ideas of who and what I’d like to be growing up. She said I talked about becoming a ballroom dancer, teacher, travel guide, stockbroker, and flight attendant.

What hobbies or passions keep you grounded?

Outside of work, I spend most of my time being a basketball mom to my 6th grader. My interests include: meditation, learning about the latest developments in neuroscience and biohacking, as well as studying and applying different techniques of personal transformation. I also never say “no” to an opportunity to travel, watch a comedy show, or, as I’ve embraced the Miami culture, salsa dancing.

Favorite books or music?

My Audible playlist is always full of non-fiction and the latest personal development titles. I often revisit the book, “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself” by Dr. Joe Dispenza. I usually also keep “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho and “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz on my nightstand. When it comes to my music playlist, it can be very eclectic ranging from hardcore hip-hop to Tibetan monk chants.
